Postpartum Care Preparation - A 3 Week Series

We put so much emphasis on planning for the birth of our babies.  Finding support from books, birthing classes, birth doulas and more is fairly easy in our society these days.  But what happens next? When you come home sore, bleeding and bleary eyed in love but left to figure out how to care for yourself and your new baby?

Our society has forgotten how to care for new mothers.  We are expected to get back to life as usual as quickly as possible. This leaves us susceptible to postpartum mood disorders and depletion that can lead to weaker immune systems and illness in the future, not to mention not having enough energy to give our families the attention they need!

In this 3 week series, we will discuss:

• What Ayurvedic wisdom shares about the sacred postpartum window
• Ideal postpartum nourishment
• Body care practices for birther and baby
• Simple yoga and meditation practices for postpartum
• How to get family involved
• How to ask for help and get what you really need!

We’ll also make ghee together and you’ll get a packet of extra info including recipes, directions for making your own nesting boxes, and resources for postpartum services after your baby arrives! And, you’ll get a 30 minute individual consultation to personalize your postpartum plan.

This is a 3 week virtual series. We will meet from 2pm-3:30pm January 17th, 24th, and 31st.  A 30 minute private consultation will be scheduled separately.
